I think we should make a universal standard of uploading music singles to limelinx and whole albums to megaupload.
Those have appeared to be the best as limelinx has shortest wait and there is none of this membership crap that some sites don't let you download things at certain times. Also limelinx lets you preview the song without having to download it.
So can we please make this a rule.

It doesn't have to effect past files, just future posts.

thats a pretty good idea. you make some good points as well. as a downloader i love a shorter wait. i've also used the preview to determine if i really wanted a single or not also.

Although I like the idea, I enjoy sendspace more. By having an account, I can see how many people have been downloading the songs that I share which gives me a feeling of happiness. Since not everyone replies to posts with a thanks, I really like to see how many people are mentally thanking me

However, I think that megaupload is good for bigger files, for sure. I just don't like pop-ups: they make me feel nervous for the sake of my computer. I think that the reason I'm so attached to sendspace is because it often has no pop-ups at all, and if one occurs then it's an easy close out.

Anyway, I like the idea...I just have attachment issues

well limelinx gives you the number of people that have downloaded the file right on the page

Other than the fact that you can't preview the song, mediafire seems best considering there is no wait and no account required... is there a downside to mediafire?

well limelinx is only a 7 second wait and you cant preview the song on mediafire, also mediafire deletes things a lot that are copyrighted
